Life Drawing 1:

Not much to say really. Well there is I suppose. This is my newest piece of work because I haven't been doing anything I've felt is worthy for quite some time. So yesterday I decided to just do some sketches of my friends and It's gotten me a bit more back into my work. There will probably be a lot more of these in the future.

Animal Dump:

An assortment of various creatures to practice anatomy and quick sketching. I wanted to get more itno creature design so was trying to understand why different animals are built certain ways and what are their prominent aspects. These were just a few of the sketches I did for this. I think in the future I would need to include more close ups of anatomy (feet, eyes, etc) and draw each creature from more interesting angles. And more complicated poses. Good start though I think.

Tiger:

Because let's face it, who doesn't love tigers? The painting took me about a hour or two, it was a good practice for a different style of working. Since then I haven't really been able to get the same effect, but I'm sure it'll come back to me.

Something A Little Different:

My first attempt at Mudbox, done a while back. I should really try and get some more done, I really enjoyed it and think it could make some of my work come alive. Yeah, so I spent about 4-5 hours on this, the task was to create a face from a flat plane. I used numerous references for the expression and bone structure, etc. Hopefully I can get some more done soon.

Character Design Is Not a Simple Process:

These were for a character design assignment. We were given certain aspects of our character and had to incorporate them into their story and appearance. My character was brought up in the circus, and the audience had to feel pity for her. There were definitely some other aspects that I can't remember...Anyway my young lady was born with diprosopus (born with two faces) and was abandoned at birth, believed to me a demon. She was found by a passing traveller and sold to a circus where she became a fortune teller after being in the freak show.I tried to incorporate the circus design into her outfit and the pity into her pose. I'm not sure how succesful I was with that though. I think I should have done more work on the face, I may design some two faced masks for her.

I Am Awful:

HOLY MOLY! I completely forgot that I had this Blog. Wow. I am rubbish.
From now on I will actually pay attention to this though, as a late lenten promise.
Ive been having a couple of problems of late so after dealing with those I haven't really had the time or the energy to get much done. So because of that I don't really have that much to post up but I will post it nonetheless. Here we go.
